1. I think that if we are now considering judicial officers as possible candidates for the above vacancy, we should possibly think about Mr Renn Davis.

2. He is currently Chief Justice in the Solomon Islands but is very interested in a High Court Judgeship in Hong Kong. Mr Rushford wrote to Sir G Briggs about him on 20 March 1978 and 2 October 1978. It is probable that he would not be interested in an Attorney-General post, but he has been an Attorney-General before and I do not think at the moment we can afford to exclude any possibilities, however remote.
