1. On 21 February 1978 Mr Stewart addressed a letter to your predecessor regarding the upkeep and maintenance of Government House. I enclose a copy for easy reference.

I know it is very early days of your stay in Anguilla to ask for comments on the subject of your accommodation. On the other hand, it could be that coming to it fresh you may have plenty of comments! It would certainly be very helpful to have your views and to have an idea of what would be the annual cost if HMG were to take over financial responsibility. These figures need only be approximate at present in order that we can get an idea of the size of the bill and look into ways and means of providing the money.
