Purpose
To reach decisions on D. of I.'s proposals for computerization.
To enable Hong Kong residents stranded in Vietnam to return to Hong Kong by chartered flight.
Progress made and present position
D.P.M. has started a feasibility study and close consultation with D of I is being maintained.
Sc far 3 flights have taken place, on 21st and 22nd December 1976 and 22nd January 1977, bringing back a total of 458 people.
Next quarter's target
The feasibility study is expected
to be completed by June 1977.
The next flight is scheduled

be early February 1977. Further
flights will be arranged as and when the number with exit permits reaches a full plane load.
9. Expulsion of Hong Kong Chinese from Holland

To facilitate smooth repatriation of Hong Kong residents illegally in Holland.
306 persons were repatriated between 1.11.1976 and 31.1.77. Discussions have been held with Dutch Minister of Justice to improve working relations.
Efforts will be made to ensure that no snags in the procedu occur and ensure that not me than 200 to 300 persons are returned monthly. D.C.P. and A.D. of I. will visit Holland March 1977 to further liaise Dutch authorities.

To reach agreement on the future requirements of vessels for policing Hong Kong waters.
To equip the Police Force with beat radios.
The Police are considering their requirements in the light of Naval proposals for the replacement of their 5 patrol craft.
Installation has begun with HK Island and Kwai Chung equipment being nearly completed; the completed system is expected to be fully functioning by August 1977. Difficulties over computor software have been resolved but parts on the angle mill b
