The PUS may therefore consider that it would be appropriate for a day to be set for the break-up of Gibraltar and General Department at the earliest opportunity, ie before the unrelated developments above make it more difficult. In my view it is ⠀ now time to take the last fence, as, if we leave matters until June or later, almost certainly additional hurdles will appear on the course. The date of 28 March originally suggested would seem suitable on the assumption that the necessary arrangements can be agreed for accommodation and supporting staff.

6. As the top papers I think are with you or with the Chief Clerk perhaps you will consider resubmitting accordingly: the draft press release will of course have to be cleared with the Governor.

7. HKD and SED concur, as does the ODM.
