AUMIINISTRATION IN CONFDJENCE

HONG KONG AND INDIAN OCEAN DEPARTMENT

Report of Security Inspection

ANNEX D

I have

1. Please refer to Mr Reynolds' minute of 1 April. checked the security equipment of the above department.

2. One or two relatively minor amendments had to be made to the Departmental Security Officer's master lists in order to bring them up to date. In one instance, however, a member of the department had signed for a pouch key in June 1974 but the key (No 50) could not be produced. The DSO is endeavouring to get into touch with the person involved who, I understand, is no longer with the department. I have made a note to follow this up later. One cupboard was declared surplus and is being returned to Security Department's store.

3. Apart from the one instance of the missing key mentioned above, the items of equipment now agree with the records.
