Mr Lyons has just telephoned to let us know that he will now fly to Hong Kong on Sunday 30 October, arriving there on Monday 31 October.

He and his wife hope to go to Canton on Thursday

3 November and stay there until Sunday 6 November, returning to Hong Kong on 6 November.

written to the Chinese Ambassador as well as to the London Export Corporation about the Canton visit, but neither have yet replied.)
