HKK.382/16.

Sir Anthony Royle (Richmond): To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, in view of the widespread support for his endorsement of the Governor of Hong Kong's decision to grant an amnesty to the Royal Hong Kong Police and the Governor's action to maintain the moral of the security forces, if he will make a further statement.

MR EVAN LUARD

The latest reports from Hong Kong indicate continuing widespread support for the policies adopted by the Governor, particularly his determination that the Independent Commission Against Corruption should continue to operate vigorously and effectively against current cases of corruption in all sectors of public life. My right hon Friend shares that

determination.
