HONG KONG: PRIORITY WRITTEN PARLIAMENTARY QUESTIONS ON THE POLICE, CORRUPTION AND FUGITIVE DRUG OFFENDERS

I submit draft replies to Mr Parry's 9 Parliamentary Questions on these subjects, together with a background note.
2. Mr Parry takes a close interest in Hong Kong affairs. So far this year he has tabled 74 Questions on Hong Kong covering a wide range of topics. He is also a regular visitor to Hong Kong. During his latest visit in September this year, he was the subject of offensive remarks made by a group of off-duty European police officers. Mr Parry has received an apology for this incident from the Commissioner of Police in Hong Kong and the officers concerned have been severely reprimanded.
