John Hobley is at present attending a

Commonwealth Law Conference in Edinburgh and I am

therefore replying to your letter dated 15th July. doubt whether there will be much we can say before

Clements comes up for trial but I shall draw your

letter to John Hobley's attention on his return and

doubtless you will hear from us if there is any parti-

cular development. It does seem likely that trial will not take place until well on in the year.
