To your knowledge is it correct that a system exists within

the Police Force of what I might call monitoring the

efficiency etc. of a Divisional Superintendent?

That is correct. Officers are subjected to reports, and

visits by senior officers to make assessments.

Is it also correct that usual term of duty of a Divisional

Superintendent is 2 years subject to slight changes?

This is sometimes true.

There are many variables.

It is

not invariably 2 years. Object is to keep officers for

as long as possible in post where they can be of best use

to ensure continuity.

Is there some between or accurate rule of thumb that it is

2 years?
