but only in relation to one issue that defence allege that Lau Cheong a framed or attempted to frame a prisoner and whether his efforts produced his conviction or whether he would be convicted without his efforts is irrelevant. Defence wishing to show his
moral character in doing this is highly relevant to issue in this trial as to whether he is doing again.

..ould oppose any application to call any evidence to rebut evidence given by witnesses only on credibility. we have had Lau subjected to lengthy cross-examination on this matter. He has Geniod allegation put to him. 1 know of no exception to the general rule which precludes the calling of evidence to rebut on an issue of credibility.
