Mi» witness has given evidence of information about names. if he inquired about other names but has forgotten he should have made notes at time of his inquiries as to names he inquired about. De now gives some names and says these are all he remember

If my learned friend shows him other documents which shows other names thi is leading and is refreshing hie memory with a document not made by him at or at time of the inquiry and is likewise improper. What we are concerned with here is adhering to rules of evidence. It is what I objected in advance as it applies my learned friend is departing from rules of evidence.

I have actually seen the applications for bank drafts of wing Lung Bank: myself, and identify the names and address of the persons which appear on the application forms so as to trace these persons by their names. I have checked public records to see if any of the names are serving policemen for the whole force. 1 have located a uniformed

Apart from Tang wah I was not able to make other inquiries at all. i was not able to locate any of the persons I was seeking. I have checked with the ICAC registry system which contains information of people alleged to be corrupted. I can't think of any other inquiries that could be conducted into these persons. Towards end of October I arranged for attendance of certain witnesses in ICAC offices who were to be

interviewed by solicitors. I made arrangements for Cheng Cheuk Fun, Luk Hoi Tung to come to ICAC Office on following morning. I think it was 25/10. I am not very sure about this.
