Not seeking to attack other fact proved by prosecution as an upright Man. Already much cross-examination has been directed on issue of credibility. I have not interrupted although I have had ample grounds of doing so. Cross on evidence p. 316. If further inquiries are made to further allegations Defence are bound by general answers of witnes. No. right to call witness on rebuttal on full issue of credibility. Any adjournment at this stage cannot assist Defence

materially.

ty learned friend has stated the general rule with accuracy. What we are concerned with are of course all the exceptions. Examples at page 219 of cross. An application for an adjournment, we believe may produce material which will be admissible under ossibly 2 of these exceptions.

Gambling stalls, opium stalls, off course bookies on reyhounds

and horses.

What were addresses of these stalls?

They moved very often.

What were their addresses prior to their move and cubsequently? There are 2 gambling stalls in whaukiwam Division one stall was in Hei Ning Street behind a public lavatory, and the 2nd tail was in Nal On treet in those unnumbered wooden hut area, another stall
