payments made by these illegal establishments 2 persons who werO working under a Senior N.C.0. in C.I.D. Bay View Police Station that a degree of protection or immunity was afforded in return for payment forewarning of raids which may be initiated at a
Divisional Level. Your Honour will be aware there are certain
police formations whose activities are not restricted to districts, Narcotics Bureau, Preventive Service. Protection referred to is
action emanating from Bay Veiw Police Station. Another type of protection, protection from unauthorized competition, other premises
