ANNEX TO XCR(77) 107
Amend the Summary Offences Ordinance.
Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the
advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
Short title.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Summary
Offences (Amendment) (No. 3) Ordinance 1977.
Amendment of
section 4. (Cap. 228.)
2.
Section 4 of the principal Ordinance is amended
by deleting subsection (26).
Addition of
new
section 4B.
3. The principal Ordinance is amended by adding
after section 4A the following new section
"Objects dropped from buildings.
4B. (1) If anything is dropped or
allowed to fall from any building to the
danger or injury of any person in or near
a public place, the person who drops that
thing or allows it to fall and the occupier
of the building or part thereof from which
the thing was dropped or allowed to fall
commits an offence and is liable to a fine
of $10,000 and imprisonment for 6 months.
(2) If anything is dropped or allowed
to fall from any building in the course of
the construction, repair or decoration of
the building or part thereof, to the danger
