As stated in the Executive Council memorandum XCC(77)20 discussed on 29th March 1977, full details in respect of the land required for phased development will be submitted to the Government Secretariat when seeking orders from the Governor that the land is to be resumed.

Honourable Members will be asked to advise, under section

3 of the Crown Lands Resumption Ordinance (Chapter 124), whether the block resumption of the land shown coloured orange on the annexed plan is required for a public purpose, namely to implement the develop- ment of Areas 10, 24D (Part), 27(Part), 29A(Part), 29B(Part), 29C(Part), 29D (Part) and Road P1(Part), Sha Tin New Town, Sha Tin, New Territories.

(The District Officer, Sha Tin (Mr G.A. HIGGINSON) and the Project Manager, Sha Tin (Mr J. S. DON) will attend before the Council for the discussion of this item).
