Recommendation

Negotiations to acquire the lot by agreement having broken down, it is recommended that the lot should be resumed under the Crown Lands Resumption Ordinance (Chapter 124).

If the recommendations in paragraphs 4 and 7 above are approved, notice will be published in the Government Gazette in accordance with section 6(3) of the Streets (Alteration) Ordinance (Chapter 130) and section 4(1) of the Crown Lands Resumption Ordinance (Chapter 124) and in the English and Chinese language press,

Honourable Members will be asked to advise:

under section 6(1)(a) of the Streets (Alteration) Ordinance (Chapter 130), whether the proposed undertaking shown on the plan at Annex A should be authorised to proceed without modification; and

under section 3 of the Crown Lands Resumption Ordinance (Chapter 124), whether the resumption of Kowloon Inland Lot 7320 is required for a public purpose, namely the construction of Stage II of the West Kowloon Corridor.
