At the meeting of 10th May 1977, after considering memo- randum XCR (77) 127, Honourable Members advised and the Governor ordered:

(a) that the Agricultural Pesticides Bill 1977 at

Annex A to the memorandum should be intro- duced into the Legislative Council;

(b) that the Agricultural Pestic ides Regulations

1977 at Annex B to the memorandum should be approved in principle to be submitted to Honourable Members to be made after the bill has passed into law;

(c) that the Import and Export (General) (amend- ment) Regulations 1977 at Annex C to the memorandum should be approved in principle to be submitted to Honourable Members to be made after the bill has passed into law; and

(d) under section 8 of the Preventive Service

Ordinance (Chapter 342), that the Preventive Service (Amendment of Second Schedule) Order 1977, at Annex D to the memorandum, should be approved in principle, to be submitted to Honourable Members to be made after the bill has passed into law.

The bill was passed by the Legislative Council on 1st June 1977 and received the assent of the Governor on 2nd June 1977.

Honourable Members will be asked to advise, whether the Agricultural Pesticides Regulations 1977, the Import and Export (General) (Amendment) Regulations 1977, and the Preventive Service (Amendment of Second Schedule) Order 1977 should be made,
