Mr. TONG Cho-ming
I have to-day interviewed Mr. TONG Cho-ming of Flat 319, Block 8, Kwai Shing Estate, with Mr. K.C. Chan and Miss Lok in attendance.
2.
Mr. Tong was accompanied to my office by Mr. Chung, Foreman of Messrs. Wan Hin Construction Co. Mr. Tong now works at Shun Lee Estate, earning $40 per working day. He admitted that he had no time for any social action, and further disclosed that his wife was addicted to mah-jong. He has had quarrels with her over her indulgence in gambling.
3.
Before allocated a flat at Kwai Shing Estate, he moved his This family from place to place 6 to 7 times in a hope of getting his wife
He moved to as far as Un Long but this Surendr away from her mah-jong friends.
We did not work. His wife would, no matter where he moved to, settle down
on mah-jong table and often lost all the money he gave her for paying rent. He admitted that he did not trust his wife. He requested that permission be given to him to pay rent through bank, at least for his case so to avoid unnecessary trouble. When he comes home each day, he has to cook himself. He too has to pay electricity bills, etc., himself His wife did not bother about household chores. Vitico each month.
