In case you have not already learnt of it from other sources, you might like to know that the 10th World Anti-Communist League and the 23rd Asian People's Anti-Communist League meetings were both held in Taipei from 18 to 22 April 1977. Among their joint resolutions was one which called for the non-repatriation of refugees from China who arrived in Hong Kong. We have no further details. The question of refugees does not appear to have figured in the report of the Hong Kong delegate at the joint conference.

2. However, it did feature in the address given by Dr Ku Cheng-kang to the Free China Relief Association's annual meeting, held some days before the other meetings. Dr Ku, who is President of the Free China Relief Association, is also the President of the WACL, and was honorary chairman of the WACL and APACL meetings. I attach a copy of his address to the Free China Relief Agency, taken from the China Post (Taipei) of 11 April 1977.
