to enter Hong Kong from Vietnam for the purpose of seeking this Colony

as their temporary place of residence (under Immigration Reference

"AC/384/1977 and AC 838/77" respectively).

That the said TRINH Trong Hung was trading a Chinese

Restaurant at Saigon, Vietnam prior to the change-hand of Vietnam,

he has learnt his trade hard and devote his full time and attention

to the said business thus he gained good relationship with his customers

and most of them were former Nguyen's government officials and American

personnels. For these reasons, TRINH Trong Hung is now living in

constant fear that he might be physically purged by the local people

and that his properties and interest in Saigon might be liquidated

by the local government.

That in about 1970 your Petitioner together with his two

natural younger brothers TRINH Trong Bao and TRINH Trong Hung had

donated an amount of Vietnamese currency at $300,000.00 (equivalent

to Hong Kong currency of $20,000.00) to one of the Chinese School at

Danang, Vietnam on the celebration of their widowed mother LUANG

Kim Yu's 81st anniversary (annexed hereto as exhibit and marked

"CHT-1" is a photostatic copy of newspaper cutting to that effect).

Unfortunately and unforeseeable, such donation has now created with

cancerous trouble by that said school was managed by people of not

communist-sympathiers in those days.

That your Petitioner called upon the said Director of

Immigration Department at the Aliens and Commonwealths Section on

18th March 1977 as per appointment given to him by the said Director

for enquiries and was subsequently informed by letter dated the 31st

March 1977 that the said application was refused.
