government's consultation paper on British citizenship.

The Hong Kong Government has submitted a number of

enquiries concerning points of detail arising from the

Green Paper "British Nationality Law: Discussion of

Possible Changes" and these are being considered.

My Right Hon and Noble Friend, the Minister of State for

Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, has also received a

written statement of views of the Unofficial Members of

the conscutane and Legislative Councils in Hong Kong which was presented to him last month by the Senior Varficial

Member of the cowhe Council and the Senior

Member of the Legislative Council.
