You will note that some of the points mentioned in the paper on "Possible Effects of the Green Paper on British Nationality Law on a Hong Kong British Passport Holder", forwarded to you under my (52) in this series on 9th August, referred to clarification being sought from HMG. We now have some further advice and will be revising the paper in the light of HMG's answers and will take the opportunity to correct other minor inaccuracies which have come to light. Copies of the updated paper will be sent to you as soon as the revision is completed.
