1 I wrote to you on 14 June about a number of questions which Hong Kong raised on the Green Paper, and I enclosed a set of draft answers. Hong Kong have now sent a further question, I enclose a copy of their telegram No 644 of 29 June, together with a draft answer for inclusion in the set of answers at paragraph 2 (b).

2 You will see that we are also asked to say when Hong Kong may expect to receive comments on the points they raised in their

36) telegram of 1 June. I am replying that we expect to send the

answers in the week beginning 11 July. If you, or other colleagues to whom this letter is copied, wish to put forward changes to the draft answers, I should be grateful if you would kindly let me have a note of them by 8 July.
