1. I enclose a copy of a letter sent by Miss Janet E Fookes MP to the Secretary of State together with a copy of papers given to Miss Fookes by the Education Action Group during her recent visit with Mr Reginald Eyre MP to Hong Kong.
2. You will note from Miss Fookes' letter that she discussed the matters raised by the Education Action Group with the Director of Education who is preparing a reply.
3. Miss Fookes however has decided to raise the matter with the Secretary of State before she has received the information from the Director of Education and it is necessary for us to frame a reply for her for signature by the Secretary of State.
4. I shall be grateful therefore if you would let me have material to enable me to draft a reply to the points raised in Miss Fookes' letter.
