(4) On the expiration of his period of appointment

or reappointment, as the case may be, any member of the Authority appointed under subsection (2)(b) or (c) shall

be eligible for reappointment.

(5) (a) The Governor shall appoint a member to

be chairman of the Authority for a term not

exceeding 3 years.

On the expiration of his period of appointment

or reappointment, as the case may be, any

member of the Authority appointed to be

chairman under paragraph (a) shall be eligible

for reappointment.

(6) A member of the Authority appointed under

subsection (2)(b) or (c) may at any time resign his

office by notice in writing addressed to the Governor.

(7) If any member of the Authority appointed

under subsection (2)(b) or (c) is absent from Hong Kong

or is for any other reason unable to exercise the

powers or perform the duties of his office as member,

the Governor may appoint another person to be a

temporary member in his place during his absence or

incapacity.

(8) If a member has a pecuniary interest, whether direct or indirect, in any contract or proposed

contract or in any other matter, and is present at a

meeting of the Authority at which the contract or other
