Provide for the establishment of the Hong Kong Examinations

Authority and connected matters.

Short title and

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the

advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Hong Kong

commencement. Examinations Authority Ordinance 1977 and shall come

into operation on a day to be appointed by the Governor

by notice in the Gazette.

Interpreta- tion.

2. In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise

requires

"Authority" means The Hong Kong Examinations Authority

established under section 3;

Schedule.

"specified examinations" means the examinations specified

in the Schedule.

Establish- ment of Authority.

3. (1) The Hong Kong Examinations Authority is

hereby established.

(2) The Authority shall consist of
