Gov

ment should assist private schools to acquire approved equipment generally beyond

the ability of private schools;

C rnment should give the better private schools the opportunity to become subsidised

schools, subject to same controls and standards as other subsidised schools;

The money saved through step 4, should be spent to provide form 4-6 education for all

children wishing it instead of depending on private schools to fulfill this role.

We believe subsidised schools for all is the only answer but intermediate steps must be

taken to insure that those in private schools are not receiving inferior education.

EAG has made proposals to Government on all of the problems on these three pages as

well as additional ones on issues not covered by this discussion.
