Re: Notice for proposed Order under S. 6 of the

streets (Alteration) Ordinance (Chapter 130) G.N.84

We are instructed by Madam Chan Tak Woon the registered owner of the two shops on the ground floor of Nos. 426A and 426B Des Voeux Road West who is also the personal representative Ip Ching Wan deceased. The said Ip Ching Wan deceased owned the shop on the ground floor of No. 426 Des Voeux Road West and our client is applying for Probate to administer the estate of the said deceased. We are instructed by our client to lodge to you her objection to your proposed construction of an elevated road from Pok Fu Lam Road beside the school No. 79B Pok Fu Lam Road along Hill Road to Connaught Road West under the captioned notice.

We are further instructed that the proposed construction of the said elevated road will adversely affect the business which are being carried on thereat and the future rental of the said properties receivable by our client. Our client will no doubt suffer pecuniary loss and damage to her said properties by reason of your proposed undertaking. We shall therefore be obliged if you will withhold the making of the said order as the making of same will seriously undermine the value of our client's said properties.
