NEXT QUARTER TARGETS

(a) To establish a controlled tip

for solid waste at Sai Tso Wan, near Kwun Tong, to commence operation by April 1977.

(b) To establish a solid waste

baling plant adjacent to the controlled tip at Sai Tso Wan by July 1978.

(o) To establish a controlled tip

for solid waste for the Eastern New Territories.

(a) To establish a controlled tip

for solid waste for the Western New Territories.

(a) A Housing Department licensed area

occupies the site. Clearance of this is in hand by stages and is expected to be completed by June 1977. Site formation work is to be completed by April 1977.

(b) Similar clearance problem as with 1.

above. Phased clearance is to make the area available for site formation work by June 1977, constructions of plant to commence by Sept. 1977, and plant to commence operation by mid-1978.

(c) Due to impending closure of existing controlled tip at Shuen Wan near Tai Po, site for new tip must be agreed by December 1976. S.N.T. is considering possible sites.
