All the acceptances in the above list are not of course, directly as a result of the Deputy High Commissioner's appeal of 28 July since many of these countries, but notably USA and France, had been accepting boat people for some time before the appeal. As far as I know, only the USA and ourselves have so far "officially" responded to the appeal.
