You will recall authorising payment of the cost of a visit by Professor Turner to London in order to attend meetings with the TUC and the CBI.
2.
Professor Turner duly came to London on 2 June and left on 7 June after discussions and consultations with fellow academice on the progress of his study. He has now submitted a claim for six nights in London, Oxford and Cambridge and also for taxi and rail fares, telephone calls and cables. Details are shown in the statement attached to Professor Turner's letter of 4 July, 8 copy of which is enclosed.
3. I should be grateful if you would authorise payment of Class A subsistence for the six nights stay and for payment of the taxi, rail and bus fares plus of the cost of telephone calls and cables.
