VISIT OF PROFESSOR TURNER: HONG KONG TEL.542 OF 28 MAY

1. We have arranged for Professor Turner to see Mr Morton at the CBI at 1430 hours on Friday, 3 June, and then go on to the TUC to meet Mr George Smith, General Secretary of the Union of Construction Allied Trades and Technicians and member of the TUC General Council and OLCC, plus Mr Allan Hargreaves, at 1630 hours the same afternoon. Mr Walsh and I will be present at both meetings.

We are still trying to arrange a separate meeting for Professor Turner with Mr J L Jones, Chairman of the TUC's Inter- national Committee.
