1. You will see from E 160 that I have arranged for a single ticket, London to Sydney, as requested by Professor Turner in his 35. telegram no 406 of 30 May (E 167).

Professor Turner has also asked that stand-by accommodation for him from 3-5 June. It is - as I know from private sources impossible to obtain hotel accommodation in London on these dates. If Professor Turner must stay in London then I am prepared to offer him a bed, if he has no other accommodation. I shall be on leave on Thursday but if he wishes to take advantage of my offer he may ring me at my home on Friday morning tel 228 2722.
