1.

I enclose a letter from Dr Patricia Fosh, an associate of Professor Turner, in which Dr Fosh claims a sum of £29 for fares and taxis and also claims for two nights and four days subsistence. The London subsistence rate paid by HMG is £14.50 per day (24 hours), and the 5 to 10 hour rate is £1.

2. These charges relate to the second stage of the Turner study and I shall be grateful therefore if you will arrange for Dr Fosh to be reimbursed. I assume that the easiest way of doing this would be for the Hong Kong Government Office to send a sterling cheque to Dr Fosh.
