Item 6: The British Aid Programme in the Labour/
Employment Field
7. A paper has been circulated on this item on
what is being done by way of UK training courses for
labour department and trade union officials from
other countries and the recruitment of UK specialists
in labour matters for overseas assignments.
We are nearing the end of a busy morning's work
and detailed discussion of this paper is probably
not necessary. But if there are any questions
which members would like to raise, we have an ODM
official here to answer them.
Item 2: Any other business
8.
Have members any points they wish to raise
or to note for possible inclusion on the agenda
for the next meeting?
Item 8 Date of next meeting
9.
Subject to any advice which members might have,
I suggest we follow the usual practice of permitting
the Overseas Labour Adviser discretion to consult
members in the light of developments and matters of
interest.
[The conclusion of Professor Turner's
study on Hong Kong may determine the timing
of the next meeting ]
