1. Thank you for your minute of (?) 18 March.

2. I have checked the payments made by the B.T.C. against the receipts and accounts rendered by Professor Turner. The accounting is confused but, as far as I can see, the payments you have authorised against items 1 and 2 of Professor Turner's claim will result in no duplication of payment since we are to regard your previous authority to pay H K $ 2559.55 as cancelled. I am now asking Mrs. Behan to make the payments you have authorised and to let you have details.

3. Dr. Fosh has claimed £407.89 for local payments made by her (Item G of her letter 24 February). These payments are supported by receipts and I am satisfied that she is, in fact, owed that sum. I should be grateful if you would authorise Mrs Behan to make payment accordingly.

4.

These payments should complete the expenditure on this project. I have confirmed with Mr Stickles that he accepts that the original allocation will be exceeded because of variation in the exchange rate and the additional expenditure on local studies.
