1. I spoke to Mr Fry of the Overseas Development Administration, re the possibility of obtaining monies from the ODM for a further study by Professor Turner. I told him that we would require only £5,650 as we already had £4,000 of our own.

2. Mr Fry said that, whilst at the moment they were scraping the barrel, he thought that there was a possibility of obtaining this money. A meeting of the Allocations Committee is due to take place on 5 April and he would telephone me on 6 April to let me know the results.
