Thank you for letting me see your draft reply

to Mr Lightbody's letter of 22 June.

2.

The designation "Department" has been applied to the Overseas Labour Adviser and his staff informally and not entirely accurately, as we are not strictly speaking a department in FCO terms. The Inspectorate have now ruled that the appropriate designation for my supporting staff is the "Overseas Labour Adviser's Office". I attach a suggested revised draft reply to Mr Lightbody.
