I write as Director of the Greenwich Theatre, in South East London.

One of our associated companies, the Bowsprit,- which specialises in Theatre in Education, is at the moment presenting a programme on Hong Kong, inspired by a television documentary and newspaper articles. It deals with the use of child labour in Hong Kong factories and alleges gross corruption in the administration of the colony.

The criticisms of the government of Hong Kong made in the programme (which I saw yesterday) are serious, and I am sure you would want to reply to them, particularly as they are reaching a large number of children and teachers in South East London.
