I have agreed with Mr Standen that if he sends us over the material we will prepare instructions to the Embassy in Bonn to take up an air services issue with the German authorities at a medium high level.

The DOT agreed with the Germans some weeks ago that Lufthansa's services to Hong Kong could remain at their présent level until next April at least, provided the Germans met our wishes on four points in Europe. But the DOT say that the Germans have only delivered on one out of four.

3.

If nothing comes from the DOT by 21 November, perhaps. you could remind them.
