2. I should be grateful if Rhodesia Department and CSAD would produce Brief No. 5 and if the latter would send it to Mr Fell, SED, W72, by close of play on 8 February. It should be in final draft form with the same heading as this minute. It should have a Line to Take and Background for each country but should be kept short since the subject may not be discussed.

Similarly, would EID(E) please produce Brief No. 2 in consultation with SED as soon as possible after the Foreign Affairs Council on 8 February. The Treasury have asked specifically that this brief should be cleared with them.
