1. I would be grateful for your comments on the attached draft submission from Mr Milton, Assistant Head of this department, to Mr Murray, the superintending AUSS.
2. Hong Kong have asked for very early advice on the terms of their reply to the German Consulate General's request for clearance. (The "Otto-Hahn" is now apparently to visit Hong Kong, if all the arrangements can be made in time, in October or November). I would therefore be grateful for your comments by noon on 1 September at the latest. In the absence of comments by that time, I shall assume that you have none.
