VISITS BY NUCLEAR POWERED SHIPS TO HONG KONG
1.
I enclose a copy of a letter of 28 December from the Assistant Political Adviser in Hong Kong in which tir Drace-francis sets out & case for the revision of the NULAFE regulations in a way allowing amendments to the "Guidelines for planning visits of US Navy ships to Hong Kong"
2.
I have circulated Kr Drace-francis' letter and its enclosures around interested Departments in the Office, only to discover that there are no FCO views on this matter at present. I would be grateful for your own reactions in due course.
