I attach a copy of a letter which I have sent to GEC and Babcock, covering offers of assistance from the Overseas Projects Fund. you know, we held up the offers, first, because of the possibility that Balfour Beatty would become main contractor, which could have made a significant difference to the amount of assistance needed by GEC and Babcock, and secondly because of doubt about the position of Clarke Chapman in relation to this project. these matters have now been clarified and we were satisfied that we could go ahead as originally intended.
