I am writing to thank you for your kind gift of exquisite Chinese jade. I was delighted to receive the gift, which will be displayed in the Prime Ministerial collection in No. 10 Downing Street.

I was pleased to have the opportunity of meeting you in March and of hearing about China Light and Power/PEPCO's investment plans. I have been taking a personal interest in this matter, and I trust that the British efforts to win the contract will be successful.
