of 3 May about the Hong Kong Power Station Project.

I enclose, for your information, a copy of

a letter (already copied to John Michell) about the Japanese Prime Minister's call on the Prime Minister yesterday

evening. As you will see, the Prime Minister mentioned the

Hong Kong Power Station Project to Mr. Fukuda, and

subsequently asked that this should be brought to the

attention of H.M. Ambassador in Tokyo, to enable Sir Michael Wilford to follow this up as appropriate. I should be grateful if you would keep in touch with the Foreign and Commonwealth
