The Hong Kong Department Stores Group has been organised by The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce in order to provide major depart- ment store outlets with the opportunity of meeting British suppliers to the Asian market and particularly new suppliers with new products. The Group of stores represented in this mission is estimated to enjoy a sales performance of at least £30 million per annum. The Group will visit London, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Britain sold consumer goods worth over £34 million to Hong Kong in 1976. With the significant recovery of the Hong Kong economy during 1976 and the first quarter of 1977, this trade has every opportunity to expand.

The Chamber is most grateful to the British Department of Trade, the British Trade Commission in Hong Kong and Chambers of Commerce in Britain for their help in organising this Buying Mission.
