I have only just seen your letter of 15 arch which got to London while I was in the Far East, but you will remember that we talked the matter over in Hong Kong.

2. I have now shown your letter to Lord Goronwy-Roberts who has noted that South Africa no longer appears on Hong Kong's list of designated countries for investment. lie agrees that your Government should not sell the South African stock at a loss but suggests you keep an eye on the matter with a view to selling when there is a profitable opportunity.
