PARLIAMENTARY QUESTION

I would be grateful for your comments on the attached draft answer, supplementaries and background note for a question from Mr Frank Hooley MP on discussions on defence problems in the Far East with the defence ministers of the Chinese People's Republic. The question is for answer on Tuesday, 5 July but as the Private Office have requested the draft reply to be submitted by noon on Wednesday, 29 June I would be grateful if all comments could reach me by close of play Tuesday, 28 June.
